Udaipur
which is known as Lake city is one of the most beautiful city of Rajasthan.
There are different places for visiting in Udaipur that are most beautiful and
famous for the good environment. The climate of Udaipur is maximum of 42.3°C
and a minimum of 28.8°C during summers. Winters are a little cold with the
maximum temperature rising to 28.8°C and the minimum dipping to 2.5°C. The
annual total rainfall received at Udaipur is 61 cm. Winters (September-March)
are the best period for visiting Udaipur.
City Palace
---- The City Palace Museum is the jewel
in the crown of the Udaipur City Palace Complex. It is here that you can
immerse yourself in the history of the Maharanas of Mewar, and really get a
feel for their culture and how royalty lived. The sprawling Museum is actually
a series of palaces, including the MardanaMahal (palace for the royal men) and
ZenanaMahal (palace for the royal women).
Jag Mandir ----This palace not only had left its magic spell on the tourists
but also did inspire the great Shah Jahan; and this inspiration gave birth to
TajMahal. The palace is embellished with detailed carvings. There are well
chiseled elephants arrayed at the entrance which look as if they are guarding
the palace.
MotiMagri ----MotiMagri is one of the interesting tourist attractions of Udaipur, the
city of dawn. You will see a statue of MaharanaPratap on the top of the
MotiMagri Udaipur.
FatehSagar Lake ----The manmade lake FatehSagar is situated in Udaipur city in
the Indian state of Rajasthan. Located towards the north of Lake Pichola
alongside the entrance to MotiMagri Hill, FatehSagar is said to be the pride of
the City of Lakes of Udaipur. It is surrounded by a number of hills on the
three sides and Pratap Memorial on the north. Their reflection in the placid
waters make a wonderful sight for tourists. The beauty of water and greenery
has made it to consider as ‘second Kashmir’.
Lake Pichola ----Pichola Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan.
Located in the heart of Udaipur, Pichola is the oldest and one of the largest
lakes in all of Udaipur.A trip to Pichola Lake is incomplete without a boat
ride around the Lake Palace. The blue water gives a very calm and soothing
sensation and a boat ride during sunset is an experience of a lifetime.
GulabBagh ----A spectacular rose Garden laid out by MaharanaSajjan Singh, is situated
near the palace on east side of Lake Pichhola. A library in the garden has a
rare collection of ancient handwritten manuscripts and
books.Within the garden, there is a zoo with tigers, leopards, chinkara and
many wild animals and birds are being kept.
